Top 5 Ways to Save Money with Your HVAC System:

Top 5 HVAC Savings
Look, your heating and air system is the largest consumer of electricity in your home.  This is especially true if you have a fully electric system.  Let’s discuss how to get the most bang for your buck!

  1. Regular Maintenance:  Granted, there are legitimate scams out there that you probably shouldn’t buy.  Extended Service warranties on cheap electronics, rental car coverage if your personal insurance covers it and to-good-to be true home warranty policies are a good example.  Heating and Air Regular Maintenance Contracts are not a gimmick (if done correctly).  After a regular maintenance, your unit will be running very efficiently resulting in savings.  For pennies a day, this  Maintenance Agreement will likely pay for itself in a short amount of time.
  2. Coil Cleaning:  You need your unit to breathe properly.  If this thing is clogged up with debris and dirt and whatever else- you can count on losing money as a result of the unit expending too much energy trying to force the air through that dirty coil.
  3. Repair Holes in Duct work:  Animals and bugs and all kinds of critters flock to this stuff.  It could be the smell or taste.  Or it could be the air temperature the unit produces; animals love it.  Because of their love for your duct work, often times they will cut holes in your system resulting in lost air in attics and crawlspaces.  This air loss is money loss.
  4. Programmable Thermostats:  While you’re at work, your system can be dialed back a little bit (not completely off).  Your system can be programmed to cut back on to a desired temperature prior to your arrival.  The savings are HUGE.
  5. Regular Maintenance:  Yea, I said it again.  It needs to be said again, and again, and again.  This is the big one.  Save some money and save it with us.  Check out our Regular Maintenance Page for more info and pricing.
